About
Have fun in this beautiful natural setting! Please come and join Wissahickon East Park Friends and other volunteers. We'll be planting, mulching, and watering trees, and picking up windfall tree limbs and litter in the creek channel. We saved this 6-acre wooded park and creek from development in recent years. This site is now part of the Fairmount Park System in the Wissahickon Watershed. Come and enjoy a short Nature Trail, a segment of the Cresheim Creek, and beautiful natural views, and help to preserve this very special place for wildlife and people.
Folks of all ages and skill levels are welcome. No special skills or experience are needed. Some physical ability to walk and work in the woods will be helpful. Children are welcome with adult supervision.
This event will appeal most to folks who enjoy outdoor physical exercise and working in Nature with other folks.
We supply all tools and materials. We provide hands-on leadership and a thorough introduction and orientation. We'll end with a brief period of reflection. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!
