I worked with a group of 10 Jefferson University incoming students who volunteered in McMichael Park as part of their induction into the neighborhood. They filled trash bags while getting to know one another. They were interested in the history of the park as well as the ability to just walk over from school
Surprised that a "permit" group would not clean up after themselves. Park was found in good condition. Wish people would realize that they should leave the park the way they found it.

Two women from the FOMP group did this clean up. They are both over 70 years old. They also took the trash home. Bless them. |
Nice shady corner to McMichael Park at West Coulter St. and McMichael St. Garden bed overgrowth removed as well as new plantings installed. Looks cared for now.
