Perez Elementary in South Austin Needs Your help. We have a Festival Friday from 4-8 and we need volunteers to help staff booths, and serve food. Each volunteer will receive a free meal, and our greatest appreciation!! Costumes encouraged!! -"Cinco De Mayo Theme"
As part of our week-long college awareness week, college students are invited to come to speak with L.Cpl. Nicholas S. Perez Elementary students to share their college experience. We want them to see and hear from “real” college students so they can have a better understanding of what college is about.

College students are invited to visit classrooms for 20-25 minutes each to talk about their college experience and to answer students’ questions. They can talk for a few minutes about why they went to college, how they picked their college, their major and classes, college activities, college social life, how they prepared for college, or other topics they think are important.

College Student Day: Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Arrive at 12:00 p.m. to visit one to three classrooms between 12:00 and 2:30 p.m.

Please share this information with any and all college students you may know and please let me know if you have anyone in mind for our annual college day.

Thanks!

If you get a chance, would you mind helping us get the word out that we are looking for college students? :)
