2pm: We Walk PHL 3-mile loop with Walk Leader Teamspring season scheduled walk
2:30 - 3:30 Free Exploration: explore the visitors center and wildlife refuge
3:30-4:00 Wrap-up time
Come, meet and greet members of the We Walk team, socialize with people from other parks/neighborhoods, enjoy the beautiful observation deck and water piers, bird and other wildlife, plants, trees, and other activities. This refuge is the first wildlife refuge in the nation!

We Walk PHL is a program in partnership between Fairmount Park Conservancy, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation that offers free weekly walking groups at various public parks throughout the city.
This program welcomes people of all ages and abilities looking to meet their neighbors and improve their physical and mental health. Walk leaders will be there to greet & guide you. Let's celebrate health and wellness in Philadelphia one step at a time!
Requirements
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
