About

FDR Park is a 348 acre estuary park located in South Philadelphia that serves local neighbors and regional visitors with a variety of active recreational features and unique ecological assets such as lakes and wetlands.  The most interesting feature of FDR Park, and perhaps the areas that are the most biologically rich, are the system of lakes, lagoons, and creeks that weave through the park. Natural resources are particularly important at FDR Park because of the scarcity of natural lands in South Philadelphia, the link between the park and the Delaware Estuary, and the location of the park in the Atlantic Coastal Plain.

The park is located directly across from the sports complex and at the terminus of the Broad Street subway line.

Clean up site location in the Park: Half Moon Lagoon near tennis courts under I-95 and the Skatepark (see attached map for both locations).

Parking available in several locations in the park: Entrance is on Pattison Avenue, near Board Street, follow the road pass the tennis courts and Picnic area #1-6. Parking lot option is at the American Swedish Museum on the right. Continue on the road pass the Boathouse on the left. After the first bridge, make a left into the next parking lot near the Philly Dragons Little League Fields. Continuing on the loop, the next parking lot is on the right near the tennis courts under I-95.

**Please don’t leave valuables or anything visible in your vehicles.**
