Love Your Park Week Kick-Off Event at Marconi Plaza

Saturday, May 11th, 2019 from 9:00am to 1:00pm (ET)

About

Join us to kick off Love Your Park Week 2019 with a special celebration at Marconi Plaza! Neighbors of Marconi Plaza and volunteers from our sponsor companies are invited to help us kick off a week of cleaning, greening, and celebrating Philly's parks and everything they do for our communities. Join us for a 100+ person workday to plant trees, clean up trash and litter, and give Marconi Plaza a little love before the summer season.

We'll provide breakfast and coffee as well as some tunes to keep you moving, and volunteers will receive a free Love Your Park t-shirt. Kids are welcome to join in the celebration too - we'll have activities and games during the workday, plus face painting and free pony rides for kids starting at 1pm courtesy of the Friends of Marconi Plaza!

After the work day, Mayor Jim Kenney, Fairmount Park Conservancy board member and former Eagle Connor Barwin, and other VIPs will join us for a brief speaking program to thank volunteers and officially kick off Love Your Park Week 2019.

Please note that this workday is for neighbors of Marconi Plaza and volunteers from our sponsors.
